Rocky Mountain Youth Football League (RMYFL)

Sideline Policy

We are excited to have all of the participants and fans that we do. But we ask that everyone respects the sport and the other participants. Remember the fields we are having our games at are locations we are guests at and we have rules that the League has to follow and enforce. In order to ensure we are following the rules of the fields and respecting every participant, we have created a sideline policy that we ask everyone to read, understand and participate in following. Thank you.

Team Representative

9.2.0 A team shall consist of a Head Coach of at least 21 years of age and at least one (1) team representative at least 18 years of age

2.1.2 TEAM REPRESENTATIVE BADGE: Team representative badges will be available to a person designated by the coaching staff. This badge will designate the person who is assisting the coaching staff with sideline responsibilities. This simply identified that person as assisting but does not give that person any additional privileges from regular spectators. The representative can only enter the team area when actively assisting with cleaning the team area.

The idea of the team representative is to allow someone to focus on all of the paperwork and administrative work of the team. Also to allow the coaches to focus on the game during game time and not on any problems on their sideline, if they don't have to. The team representative is just that, a representative of their team. They are not coaches so they're not on the field or the sideline. They are with the spectators as they are not certified to coach the kids.

Coaches, please choose someone you can depend on to do this.

Team Representatives, there is a lot of work that goes into running a team and I thank you for doing that. Please fell free to communicate with me on issues regarding your team from a management standpoint. Please allow your Head Coach to handle disciplinary issues and the coaching end of things.
